Contrasting Colors

This was an assignment in my watercolor class. We had a tulip picture to draw (some traced), masked the tulips, then painted the back ground in contrasting colors. I chose yellow and purple. Then we painted the leaves. Unmasked the flowers and painted them. I didn't get the painting totally finished in class, and finally had time to finish it last night, so here it is.
